I have been feeding them pretty much only waxworms for about the past 2 years. If I put crikets or other food in there, they seem to ignore it. They will eat the occasional mealworm, but pretty much all they want are waxworms. What can I do to change this? I read that waxworms only are not good for them. |

try taking out all the waxworms and putting a plate of 10 or so mealworms in there and wait a week . leopard geckos have enough fat in there tails to last up to 2 months so they should adapt however if they dont eat any in a week or 2 repost here . _________________ Kenny Hogrefe

The first thing that stands out in your post is that wax worms must nit be "all bad" if you have 2 geckos that have lived for 2 years eating them as their main diet
Now-after saying that -I am aware of the lack of nutrition that waxies have compared to other feeder insects and that they should not be used as a staple in any lizards diet
I would follow the advice already given but you may have quite a fight on your hands with them eating waxies as their staple diet for so long
How long that i would withhold the waxies for would depend on their health and the size of their tails as has already been stated
You could also squish some of the waxies into your plate of meal worms
not much fun for you but it just might fool them into eating the meal worms
