In the past we did have froms for many different types . However they were never used and it made the forum fell empty . What types would you like forums for ?

Some of the main ones I would read is Teratoscincus, Gekko, Phelsuma, and Goniurosuraus. I think if you just added a few more that didnt focus on the "commonly" kept geckos you could attract a wider range of gecko keepers. I know there is alot of people that avoid a site when it is mainly concentrates on Leopard geckos and crested gecko also there is already alot of sites that mainly concentrate on them. Maybe if you add more forums with the diff species people will be more likely to post. I do know some people are getting tired of a few other of the well known sites on the internet and maybe you can attract some more people buy doing what I suggested and I will tell some of my friends about it so they will come check it out.

I think also alot of the problem is that the site is really known that well.

Another suggestion is you should make all the forums auto notify by e-mail when somone post. That way if you dont have to remember to check that little box, and people will be reminded when the posted to something, and are more likely to come back and see what someone else wrote. Make it where they have to unsubscribe to the auto reply.

I thought of the auto notify problem before but the version of php were using wont allow it (or at least i cant find it) and the host doesn't want to upgrade at this time .

Ill work on some new forums including the ones you suggested as soon as I have the time .

Is it possible to keep Gecko File Top Site and Forum as is?? I was looking for the original post about what's going on but couldn't find it? Just not enough activity? I want to read the post that you originally posted about what the problem is, what's going on, and your thoughts on this. Then maybe I can make a suggestion. Are you wanting to join up w/ another forum?

Yes the problem is forum activity . Alot of newbies to the herp world come here looking for answers and dont get any for weeks .

The info was sent out via e-mail about 2 or 3 weeks ago and this forum was made to discuss options .

Merging with another forum is an option .
