I am waiting for my two geckos to arrive and have a few questions:
I seem to have come to the conclusion that mealworms are a better source of food, are meal worms usually gutloaded from the store or is it necessary to do this at home???
Is it better to have the food dusted in calcium+D3 dust or just put a dish of the dust next to the food???
should a zoomed heating pad for a 10 gal tank keep the temp gradient warm enough in kept in a bedroom (house kept at 70)?
is a moist hide all thats needed or do i need a dry hide spot also???

I have read good and bad things about d3 so I oped for just calcium with out the d3 was not easy to find but I just lave a dish with it in there tank with the heading pad dont put it under put it on the side you dont want your beding to get to hot for them. I all so have a 25w nightlight (moon light) on them at night. its summer here so there no need for heading pad or anything. at night we lucky to hit 60s and day time we get to about 110/115. I get the joy if trying to keep them in the 80s
hope this helps |
