If you were going to? I've read up a lot lately on benefits of uvb or even just uva on a leopard gecko for physical (uvb) and even psychological (uva) reasons. So I'm going to try it out with uvb. But I'm considering all of the different types I could use. I would definitely not waste mvbs on a leo. Plus they get too hot anyway. I'd either use light uvb or full desert uvb, since leos are from hot climates. I like zilla and zoo med. So I'd either go with zilla 25/zoomed 5.0 or zilla50/zoomed 10.0. I'm thinking since they're from hot climates, I'll go with the ones I'm currently using for my bearded dragons, which have been the Desert 50 Series fluorescent bulbs by Zilla. I've been using them since the recall and they've been good. Thats why I say i like these as much as I do the Zoo Med.

Anyway what would you, or do you use (if you decided to use them for a leopard gecko, of course)?

I'd use high uvb since they get exposed to lots of it in their natural habitat, although they are nocturnal. So I guess it would be 10.0 or Zilla's Desert Series 50. I'd go with the zilla's, started using those recently too and took a liking to them. Good luck.
