yes some people do feed the leo's pinkys, If you have had a frantically laying female that has dropped alot of weight and/or a skinny leo thats started feeding then perhaps 1 pinky may be benificial to it but in my opinion there really is no need to, There are plenty of livefoos out there thet match there diet and of course you can and should dust all food with a suppliment occasionally, hope this helps some way, |

I use them, ONLY if the leo needs them I. I think pinkies are great for a leo thats breeding and looses alot of wieght/sick ect.... basically for putting on wieght quickly. Honestly I think they can save the leos life. But often the leos want only the treat foods once they've gotten them. Examples pinkies, waxworms, superworms. So I would ever feed the leo pinkies if I didn't think the leo truely needed it. If I didn't breed them for sure I wouldn't ever have too. Thats the only reason I felt like I should have. Never feed them to leo unless there an adult. _________________ Jessica

Also alot of my leos stayed nice and fat during breeding without the pinkies. This just depends on each leo. Nice looking leos Lady Gecko! _________________ Jessica

I realize that this is a late reply but thanks so much for the compliments
I always enjoy a good discussion and the longer that I keep herps-the more that i realize that there is no ONE right way to care for them
If your animals thrive with what you are doing to care for them-then you must be doing something right and as always-reading and asking questions about things that you are not sure of-is the best way to go
just my ,02
