my male has been wagging his tail but will not breed, how come. and at what time of the day are they mostlikly to breed? thank you  |

They can breed at any time. Generally, since they are nocturnal, it will happen at night, but I have a couple of males that have attempted breeding within just hours of adding the female into their habitats during the day. As for the tail wagging, its a show of dominance letting the female know hes interested but she just may not be ready yet. I have a pair that I started breeding last week and they chased each other around the cage for several days before mating. (late afternoon )
